Mitchell Excavation was born out of Andy Mitchell’s love for operating equipment and a strong desire to provide a valuable service to people. Since our humble beginnings handling primarily small, residential jobs, MEI has grown into a mid-sized company that employs 25-30 people and now specializes in all size commercial work, residential subdivisions, and demo work. We pride ourselves on cooperation with general contractors to keep jobs moving forward and on schedule. If you use our services, you can expect extraordinary customer service from the top down. Our owner is personally involved in every aspect of every job from start to finish, and can be reached at any time to discuss a project. We can’t wait to work on your next project.
Andy Mitchell
Andy was born and raised in Rockwall, Texas. He later got a degree at Sam Houston State University. He is most proud of his wife, Mandi, and their kids, Gage, Paris, and Mabry. Andy is an avid hunter and can be found most of the fall bowhunting elk, deer, and anything else he has the chance to hunt. He currently serves on the board of directors at the Rockwall Gun Club as Archery Director. Between operating MEI, spending time with his family, and hunting, he stays pretty busy and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Douglas McAfee
Doug is our Senior Project Estimator with a 17-year record of success in estimating and overseeing all phases of multimillion-dollar construction of infrastructure, for government and private-sector clients. He is also a family man with two great young boys and a wonderful wife of 17 years. He enjoys being outdoors or in the mountains with family and friends (Camping, Off Road Wheeling, Playing Golf, Softball, Frisby Golf, Hiking & Fishing) as well as coaching his boys in baseball & other sports. He has also been competing on a billiards team for eighteen years.
